Outreach & Education

Outreach

Long Beach Water is proud to participate in events throughout the community. We love talking about water conservation efforts, answering customer questions and, of course, handing out fun giveaways. If you’d like to have us at an upcoming event, please email WA-PublicAffairs@lbwater.org.

Community engagement and outreach is integral to creating a water-wise present and future for Long Beach.

Our water use efficiency campaigns provide our customers with a wide array of easy tips on how to save. Saving water every day is the Long Beach way!

Speaker Request

Are you interested in having a speaker attend your association meeting, classroom or neighborhood organization to learn more about our water supply and ways to save water?

You may send an email to WA-PublicAffairs@lbwater.org with your requirements.

Education

We partner with a variety of grade levels in our Long Beach Unified schools to educate the next generation about sustainability. Long Beach Water, in partnership with Long Beach Energy Resources and Long Beach Recycles, launched an environmental education program for K-8 students. The program supports students and their families by bringing energetic, science-based performances into local schools free of charge. Pre-recorded, theatrical videos provide lessons on water efficiency, natural gas efficiency and safety, and waste reduction throughout the Long Beach area, consistent with the City’s climate change action and adaptation initiatives to create a more sustainable, resilient, and climate-prepared community.
