Save water and money with the water-efficient rebates available below.
NOTE: CII customers are eligible for all of the rebates. Multi-family customers are only eligible for the landscape-related and high-efficiency toilet rebates.
Most people have heard of the "EnergyStar" program. However, the same people who created EnergyStar for the conservation of electrical power also created a sister program focused on water conservation, called WaterSense. The WaterSense website provides the most user-friendly, comprehensive approach to conserving water (and your money!) in the commercial and industrial sectors; including a discussion of how best to conserve water in your business, be it an office building, hospital, hotel, restaurant, educational or industrial enterprise.
If you are a multi-family customer, you can find important and useful tips for water conservation at 10 simple steps for apartment owners.
In addition to taking advantage of our rebates listed below, if you have a project in mind for conserving or re-using water, we might be able to help fund your project. Examples of projects that businesses have created for additional water savings include improved management of irrigation systems and installation of large ceramic filters to re-use process water that had, in the past, simply been discharged into the sewer. Our financial contribution to your project is managed by our partners at MWD, through a program known as Water-SIP (Water Savings Incentive Program). Water-SIP may pay you up to $0.98 per 1,000 gallons saved per year up to 10 years (although you do not have to wait the whole 10 years to receive your payment). Combined with a reduction in your water and sewer bill resulting from your water conservation project, your net savings can be up to about $4.70 per 1,000 gallons saved per year! For more information please visit the Water-SIP website.
