Mr. Martinez was appointed to the Board by Mayor Bob Foster and confirmed by the Long Beach City Council. He replaces former Commissioner Frank Clarke. Mr. Martinez becomes the 61st Long Beach citizen to serve on the Board.
Throughout his 28 year industry career, Mr. Martinez has lead diverse teams of professionals in the design, construction and real estate marketplace. As President, Project Development for SASCO Electric, Mr. Martinez provides leadership for all business lines for the company’s five worldwide offices including business development, strategic planning, community outreach, and public relations.
Mr. Martinez is a member of several associations including the Association of California Water Authorities; Urban Water Institute; American Public Works Association; Construction Management Association of America, and the California Parks & Recreation Society. He also serves as Co-Chair of the CSU Long Beach Construction Engineering and Management Department Advisory Board. Mr. Martinez is also a Master’s candidate at Harvard University’s School of Liberal Arts, Management. Frank lives in east Long Beach with his 2nd generation Long Beach native wife Teri and their son, Sean (a CPA) and daughter Catie (a Chemical Engineer).
