Eric Leung is Director of Engineering for the Long Beach Water Department, where he has been employed since 1999. He reports directly to the Department's General Manager.
Mr. Leung has a variety of responsibilities, including planning, directing, managing and supervising the programs and activities of the Department's Engineering Bureau. He also develops and implements objectives, strategic plans and programs for the Department's water, reclaimed water and sanitary systems, including the Capital Improvement Program, Business Development, GIS/automated mapping and construction services.
Mr. Leung began his career with the City in 1999 as the Department's Manager of Water Systems. He was promoted to the position of Director of Water Resources in 2004. Prior to joining the Long Beach Water Department, Mr. Leung held various engineering positions with the City of Anaheim.
Mr. Leung is a registered Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California.
Mr. Leung is a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). He holds a B.A in Engineering from Loyola Marymount University and a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the California State University, Long Beach.
