This pie chart represents 100 percent of the total annual water demand supplied by the Long Beach Water Department. The Long Beach Water Department meets this demand by managing a diverse Water Supply Portfolio. Currently, water demand is met through rigorous conservation, aggressive water reuse, by importing water and by pumping and treating groundwater.

Implementation and management of this Water Supply Portfolio, strengthens reliability and maintains affordability for our customers. By the year 2015, the Long Beach Water Department will be meeting demand for water in different ways.
