Commissioner Frank Martinez
PRESIDENT, BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Martinez was appointed to the Board by Mayor Bob Foster in 2013 and confirmed by the Long Beach City Council. He replaces former Commissioner Frank Clarke. Mr. Martinez became the 61st Long Beach resident to serve on the Board. As of October 1, 2018, he began his second, 5-year term.
Throughout his 30-year industry career, Mr. Martinez has led diverse teams of professionals in the design, construction and real estate marketplace. As President/CEO for Lone Star Capital Partners, Mr. Martinez provides leadership for all business lines for the company’s three businesses.
Mr. Martinez is a member of several associations including the Association of California Water Authorities; Urban Water Institute; American Public Works Association; Construction Management Association of America, and the California Parks & Recreation Society. He has also served as the Co-Chair of the CSU Long Beach Construction Engineering and Management Department Advisory Board. Mr. Martinez lives in east Long Beach with his 2nd generation, Long Beach-native, wife Teri and their son, Sean (a CPA) and daughter Catie (a Chemical Engineer).
