Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2024

The Long Beach Board of Utilities Commissioners is in the process of reviewing the proposed Fiscal Year 2024 Budget and Rates and Capital Improvement Program, which covers the 12 months from October 2023 through September 2024.

The Board will host four public meetings to discuss the budget, including proposed improvements to the the department’s distribution systems and strategies to increase local water supply.

Following the voter-approved consolidation of the city’s water, natural gas and sewer utilities in January 2023, this year’s budget discussions will also include the gas division budget.

Once approved by the Board, the budget goes to the Long Beach City Council to formerly review and adopt the budget, usually in September.
