Long Beach Water Recognized for High Customer Satisfaction in Western United States by J.D. Power

Long Beach, California – Long Beach Water ranked in the top seven in customer satisfaction in the Western United States, ahead of other major California cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego; and, nationwide, Long Beach Water achieved a higher customer satisfaction rating than the water utilities serving the cities of New York, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Baltimore, according to a press release by J.D. Power on their 2019 Water Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Survey results. The press release notes that J.D. Power, a global leader in consumer insights, measured satisfaction of residential customers of utilities nationwide who deliver water to at least 400,000 people. The overall customer satisfaction is measured within six factors: water delivery; price to customers; water conservation; billing and payment; communications; and customer service.

The Water Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study, now in its fourth year, measures satisfaction among residential customers of 89 water utilities that deliver water to at least 400,000 customers and is reported in four geographic regions: Midwest, Northeast, South and West.
